Learn how to use the designer to create different shirts with different designs!
Before you start creating your design in the designer its best to get your photos or images correctly sized and in the right resolution.
1. Have high resolution images when starting designing your shirts: Resolutions should be at least 300 dpi in resolution (dpi means dots per inch in an image). If an image is less than 300 dpi you will get a pixalated print on your shirt. The printed shirt won't look that good.
2. Next make sure you know what the working area is on a shirt. Generally its safe to create images that are 3000 pixels by 4000 pixels or 30cm by 40cm. This wil take up the entire printing area allowed by the printer.
Hoodies have a different ratio of width verses height for the front. This is because of the pockets on the hoodie. Work with
common size that works well for most hoodies is:
- Width: 10-12 inches (25-30 cm)
- Height: 12-14 inches (30-35 cm)
This size ensures the design is visible and proportionate on the front of the hoodie without overwhelming the fabric or making the image too small. If you're printing on a larger hoodie, you might want to increase these dimensions slightly, and for smaller hoodies, decrease them a bit.
